Musical Feet School of Dance… enhancing the lives of students of all ages through music and dance

across from Churchill High School

For nearly three decades, Musical Feet has provided dance training and performance opportunities to students of all ages. With a staff of fully qualified instructors, the School has gained a reputation for its entertaining performances and its age-appropriate, tasteful choreography. Audience members who attend the annual student concert for the first time (especially fathers and grandfathers) are always pleasantly surprised to be entertained the whole time.

In addition to bringing a rich history of experience teaching and producing shows, the School boasts a faculty of dancers who are continually upgrading their own technical and artistic training, so the instruction at Musical Feet is always fresh and cutting-edge. Classes are held on sprung hardwood floors, which minimize the potential for injury or fatigue, and the teachers emphasize correct posture and proper technique to further enhance a safe dancing experience.

Our History: Beginning in the 1970s as a School of Tap and gradually expanding to embrace a full array of dance forms, Musical Feet has produced annual student concerts in the Hult Center for the Performing Arts since its opening and is the only local dance studio to “ride it out” through the lean years when the Hult Center temporarily suspended giving financial breaks to local companies.

Musical Feet students have always enjoyed the professional experience of performing in the best theatre in town, with the best technical complements of sound, lighting, stage management, and costumes. Students from age 3 through advanced and semi-professional level dancers perform in the annual concert, which has enjoyed a following of locals as a favorite and entertaining show. Additionally, the professional dance faculty makes an appearance at each annual show.

Office staff members are always on hand during classes to provide assistance, allowing the teachers to concentrate solely on the students and teaching their classes. Office hours vary outside of class times, but the phones at both locations are answered Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am.
